Machinist/CNC Programmer

Overview:  The Machinist/CNC Programmer contributes to the success of the organization by completing assigned tasks in a conscientious and quality focused manner. To ensure success as a Machinist/CNC Programmer, you should have extensive experience working in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Complete quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Proven experience using CAD/CAM software; knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus
  • Significant hands-on experience working on a production floor
  • Able to read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to wear all PPE required for the completion of assigned tasks

Work Environment:

Work environment will be on the manufacturing floor. The use of safety glasses and hard hats in some areas will be required. Standing for long periods of time. Able to lift 60 pounds. Exposure to heat, cold, and chemicals on the manufacturing floor.

Citizenship Requirements:

This position requires U.S. Citizenship.

This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work.

Cost Estimator

Overview:  The Cost Estimator contributes to the success of the organization by completing assigned tasks in a conscientious and quality focused manner. This role requires an energetic and team-oriented professional.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Obtain material pricing and organize all the information necessary to create and submit proposals to clients
  • Use detailed spreadsheets and company-approved formulas to calculate the projected costs of proposed projects
  • Review drawings, statements of work, and product specifications to accurately determine the materials needed
  • Solicit and review vendor proposals and help with contract negotiations
  • Contact vendors to confirm purchase order details
  • Document total materials needed, including detail regarding all required materials and contact information necessary to process orders
  • Research potential vendors

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • College degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in Estimating, Purchasing, Procurement or Fiscal Administration
  • Experience with ERP Systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Passionate about organization
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
